Following this event, the 42nd Swedish Open took place until July 14th.<\/p>\n<p>For detailed information on the event, click <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wbfturkey.com\/doc\/etkinlik\/swedish2024\/swedishopen2024flyer.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The Swedish Open&#8217;s main tournament, which saw 165 players compete, reached its climax with the 11th Backgammon Proficiency Test being conducted as a side event under the supervision of professional player Michihito \u201cMichy\u201d Kageyama (Giants #3). This marked the third time the test was held in Sweden and the first in two years.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/swedishopen2024_01.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"photo 1\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" style=\"max-width: 100%; height: auto; width \/***\/:auto;\" \/><\/p>\n<p>This year&#8217;s event saw the highest level of competition due to the concurrent Team World Championship, attracting top players from various countries. Participants came from 11 different nations.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/swedishopen2024_02.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"photo 2\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" style=\"max-width: 100%; height: auto; width \/***\/:auto;\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The highest scores were achieved by Denmark&#8217;s P.J. and America&#8217;s Steve Sax, each scoring 38 points. France&#8217;s Remille Tristan closely followed as the runner-up.
