\u201cBackgammon Proficiency Test\u201d also known as \u201cBGTV Proficiency Contest\u201d (in Istanbul Open) was held on Saturday, January 12th, the second day of the Istanbul Open 2019<\/a>. Here we held a proficiency test for seven years consecutively since 2013.<\/p>\n

Thankfully, Arda F\u0131nd\u0131ko\u011flu, who is the host of the Istanbul Open and the president of WBF Turkey<\/a>, arranged a special room for testees. All of his staff and C\u00fcneyt Argun Gen\u00e7 helped us a lot during and before the test. We can’t thank them enough.<\/p>\n

Eleven participants with various levels from various countries challenged it this year.<\/p>\n

The result says that Cumhur Bekt\u00fcre (Turkey) answered 33 problems correctly (out of 50) and was ranked first among them. Felix Ziva (Israel) got second place at the contest, and Igor Romashov (Russia) was ranked third.<\/p>\n

And, what great news!!
\nCumhur Bekt\u00fcre won the main championship of the Istanbul Open 2019!
\nCongratulations!! We are so proud of you, Cumhur.<\/p>\n
