On Thursday, August 6th, the third round of the 5th \u201cBackgammon Proficiency Test\u201d was conducted at the Fairmont Hotel in Monte Carlo, during the 40th Backgammon World Championship<\/a>.<\/p>\n

There were fourteen testees from different national origins.<\/p>\n

As a result, Alain Babillon (France) got the highest score and Doug Mayfield (USA) got the lowest error rate.<\/p>\n

We had prepared a special prize for a winner of this event, and Doug won a gold-lacquer (Japanese traditional Kin-makie) board by defeating Alain with a 1-point match.<\/p>\n
