Over the past year, the events of the 4th \u201cBackgammon Proficiency Test\u201d have been taking place throughout the world, like JBL Ouisen Tournament<\/a> (May), Chicago Open<\/a> (May), the World Championship<\/a> (August), UK Open<\/a> (September), Japan Open<\/a> (October), Athens Open<\/a> (October), Istanbul Open<\/a> (January) and Texas Backgammon Championships<\/a> (January).<\/p>\n

This Nordic Open<\/a> was the very last stop for the 4th test.<\/p>\n

Twenty-three players took time to challenge the finals on April 5, and Masayuki \u201cMochy\u201d Mochizuki (Giants #1 2013-2014) gave them the in-depth lecture with review of the answers on the next day.<\/p>\n

The result was that Michael Nielsen and Mik Larsen got a very good grade with 31 marks (out of 50), followed by Steen Gr\u00f8nbech.<\/p>\n

Now that the 4th test is over, we’d like to summarize it.
\nWe had 191 testees over the past year. It might be so difficult that the overall average score (21.2 out of 50) was pulled down by 6.1 as compared with the former test.<\/p>\n

Here is a top 10 list of the entire 4th test.
\nTim Line (UK) came out on top with amazing score (42 out of 50), and Falafel (USA\/Israel) and Stick Rice (USA) take second place.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
